Description:
- What RMP drill motor would you use to drill in a Titanium .250 stackup
- What color is #30 #21 & #10 Cleco
- Have you ever used a BombSight kit or Toolset to pull a misdrilled fastener hole
Responsibilities:
- Manufacture assemble and test New Glenn (GS1) First Stage & Second Stage structure.
- Set up new production work areas including tooling and equipment.
- Assist with the transition from development to production including first articles.
- Perform second party verifications and hardware inspections to engineering models drawings specifications and written procedures.
- Troubleshoot diagnose and correct malfunctions by modification rework repair and/or maintenance.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurrence control.
- Operate various material handling equipment including forklifts overhead cranes aerial lifts flight vehicle and subassembly transportation equipment trucktrailer combinations and other ground support equipment as required.
- Setup and operate a wide range of precision calibrated tools including but not limited to torque wrenches micrometers calipers laser tracker height gauges and optical measuring instruments.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement projects for area safety and efficiency.
- Perform routine maintenance functions such as daily cleanup of work areas to support 5S FOD and ESD
- Ability to work offshift extended overtime and weekends if/when vital.
- Other duties as assigned or otherwise beneficial to fulfilling the mission and vision.
- Work collaboratively with teams of diverse skills fields and background
- Ability to earn trust maintain positive and professional relationships and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
- 5 to 10 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing & aerospace structures (Sheetmetal)
- Experience in Drilling Aluminum Composite & Titanium structures
- Experience in at least one of the following is required: Heavy (Primary Structures drilling experience) (Secondary Structures drilling experience)
- Interpret engineering models drawings specifications understands written work instructions and test procedures.
- Work collaboratively with teams of diverse skills fields and backgrounds
- Communicate clearly and appropriately in writing and in person.
- Basic digital literacy such as Windows Microsoft Office etc.
- Climb ladders/stairs and work in small restricted areas.
- Work at Heights on work stands and in lifts.
- Perform repetitive work including lifting of items up to 35lbs.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder) or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
- Industry certification trade school training and/or degree in related field or (Airframe License).
- Proven success as a handson technical leader
- Work optimally with a strong work ethic and close attention to detail in a fastpaced dynamic team environment with rapidly changing roles and responsibilities
- Continuous improvement attitude. Our job is never complete; we are always refining and improving.
- Intense curiosity for understanding the details of our business and how to optimize it.
- Experience in handling large aerospace structures.
- Experience in assembling large tight tolerance structures.
- Experience in new product introduction.
- Experience in a teambased Lean Manufacturing environment
- Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma certification
- Ability to lift heavy items up to 50lbs.
- Military experience
