Senior Design Engineer

About the role:

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Electrical Design Engineer specializing in Power Systems to lead our engineering team with a specialized focus on materials. The successful candidate will manage the design and development of advanced electrical power systems ensuring the optimal selection and use of materials to enhance performance and costeffectiveness.

About us:

You are expected to do:

• Team Leadership: Lead mentor and manage a team of electrical engineers fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. Conduct regular team meetings performance reviews and provide ongoing training and development.
  
• Design and Development: Oversee the design and development of detailed electrical power systems including schematics wiring diagrams and layout drawings. Conduct advanced system modelling and simulations to validate design choices.
  
• Project Management: Manage project timelines budgets and resources ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. Collaborate with project managers clients and stakeholders to define project requirements and deliverables.
  
• Technical Expertise: Provide expert technical support and guidance. Troubleshoot complex electrical and materialrelated issues and conduct rigorous testing and validation of systems.
  
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards codes and regulations (e.g. IEEE NEC IEC). Implement and promote safety measures in all engineering activities.
  

Requirements

You will be a great fit if you have:

• B.E. / B. Tech / Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  
• 8 15 years of relevant work experience.
  
• Experience in designing Electrical power distribution and controls schemes.
  
• Prepare single line diagram for PCC MCC.
  
• Knowledge in Medium Voltage and Low Voltage Power distribution and planning.
  
• Knowledge in various levels of protection systems and earthing systems.
  
• Working experience in software s like AUTO CAD (Mandatory) ECAD /EPlan (Added Advantage)
