Maternity Nurse Days Only In Elephant Castle

These first time parents from Elephant & Castle London have recently welcomed their first baby and are looking to be introduced to a local maternity nurse.

They are keen to be introduced to an experienced and qualified maternity nurse who will be able to provide support and guidance in all aspects of childcare as the new parents have no support around. They will require a maternity nurse to help for 5 days per week for 4 weeks initially Monday to Friday.

Main Duties

1. Responsible for assisting with feeding and offering support and guidance in the early stages of establishing a good feeding routine.

2. Settling baby back to sleep after feeds.

3. Monitor the baby through the day for any signs of discomfort or illness changing nappies when required.

4. Establishing daytime routines such as bathing the baby and settling for naps and bedtime..

5. Keeping records: Keeping track of feeding and sleeping patterns as well as any notable changes or concerns may be required to keep the parents informed

6. Provide support and care for the newborn while allowing the parents to get muchneeded rest during the day.

Suitable nonmedical qualification would be NEST (Newborn Education Services Training) Level 3 or above MNT Level 3 or similar.

Nights: 5 days per week

Wage : around 2022 Gross per hour depending on experience

Hours: 810 hours per day ideally between 119pm

Start date: As soon as possible

Duration: 4 weeks

Essential requirements

Fully enhanced DBS (criminal record) check. Agency will assist

Paediatric first aid

Checkable references

Previous experience working as a private maternity nurse

Relevant qualification or certificate eg NEST MNT BabyEm HATA Midwifery etc.
