We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated People & Culture Coordinator to enhance our vibrant team in the bustling city of Chicago. As the People & Culture representative in the US you will you will play a vital role in fostering a supportive and dynamic work environment.
The ideal candidate will have experience in startup spacespossess strong problemsolving skills be adept in data analysis confidently manage multiple priorities and embrace a detailoriented and structured approach to their work. What youll do
- People Operations Management: Play a critical role in the administration of daytoday people operations ranging from onboarding new hires to facilitating employee exits. Ensure all processes are executed smoothly and efficiently.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Monitor and analyse HR metrics to spot trends and areas for improvement. Prepare and present reports on key people metrics to senior management aiding in strategic decisionmaking.
- Employee Engagement & Culture Building: Assist in developing and implementing initiatives aimed at boosting employee engagement and fostering a positive company culture. Be the goto person for coordinating companywide events and teambuilding activities.
- Policy Development & Compliance: Help in the creation and revision of company policies ensuring they comply with local laws and support an inclusive and respectful workplace. Stay abreast of legislation changes impacting HR.
- Problem Resolution: Act as the initial point of contact for employee queries confidently addressing and resolving issues in a timely and effective manner while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute ideas for improving HR processes and practices. Adopt a proactive approach to identify and implement efficiencies within the People & Culture department.
- Support the Head of People & Culture: The P&C team is small but impactful. The ideal candidate will be happy to roll up their sleeves!
What we expect
- Proven Experience: Previous experience in a HR/People & Culture role preferably start upswith a track record of contributing to a positive work environment.
- Problemsolving Aptitude: Ability to identify issues and find creative solutions to complex problems.
- Data Analysis Skills: Proficient in analysing HR metrics and utilising data to inform decisionmaking. Experience with HRIS systems is a plus.
- Exceptional Organisational Ability: Proven capability to prioritise organise and manage time efficiently. Agile in adapting to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Outstanding Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to engage effectively with all levels of staff.
- Qualification: in Human Resources at BA or CIPD Level 3
- Experience with HR Software:Experience using digital HR tools and platforms.
- Legal Knowledge:Familiarity with Illinois employment law.
- Adaptability and the ability to work autonomously.
- This role is not remote and requires full time office attendance.
