Job Description: Data Analyst (5 years of experience)

Position: Data Analyst

Location: Herndon VA

Module: Hybrid (Need to be onsite twice in a week)

Responsibilities:

Data Analysis and Data engineer:

• Analyze complex datasets to extract actionable insights and support datadriven decisionmaking.
• Write and optimize SQL queries to retrieve and manipulate data from various database platforms including MySQL SQL Server Oracle and Access.

Database Management:

Understand the database design data models and have ability to run SQL scripts to extract relevant data for analysis purposes

Ability to extract and parse variety of datasets (XMLs CSVs JSONs etc)

Perform data migrations and ensure data integrity across different database systems.

Application Development Support:

Collaborate with development teams to integrate data analysis solutions within webbased applications using technologies such as HTML5 CSS3 JavaScript and JQuery.

Support the development and enhancement of datadriven web applications using frameworks like AngularJS and MVC.

User Engagement and Collaboration:

Lead and participate in requirements gathering and design sessions with stakeholders and business users.

Document functional and technical specifications create design documents and provide user training and support.

Update Git repositories with the documentation

Quality Assurance and Testing:

Conduct rigorous testing of data solutions including regression testing stress testing and crossbrowser compatibility checks.

Implement automated testing scripts and frameworks to ensure the reliability and performance of data applications.

Client and Stakeholder Engagement:

Work closely with clients to understand their data needs provide technical support and clarify requirements.

Prepare and present data analysis findings to clients and stakeholders ensuring clear communication of insights and recommendations.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in computer and information science or a related field.

5 years of experience in data analysis database management and webbased application development.

Strong proficiency in SQL SSRS and database platforms such as MySQL SQL Server Oracle and Access.

Extensive experience with HTML5 CSS3 JavaScript JQuery and frameworks like AngularJS.

Experience with serverside programming languages such as C# PHP VB.Net and Perl.

Familiarity with tools like Jenkins TortoiseSVN Team Foundation Server JIRA SharePoint and Visio.

Strong problemsolving skills attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively in a fastpaced environment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with data visualization tools and libraries such as D3.js Backbone.js and JQuery Plugins.

Experience in developing and maintaining secure web applications and ensuring compliance with web standards.

Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies and experience serving as a Scrum Master or in a similar role.
