Restaurant Manager
One of our esteemed client a premier F&B establishment in Qatar is seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant Manager . The successful candidate will be responsible for upholding impeccable service standards ensuring utmost customer satisfaction managing staffing requirements addressing operational needs and achieving financial targets.
Responsibilities
- Ensures that the staff deliver the brand promise and always provide exceptional guest service.
- Ensures that the staff provide excellent service to internal customers in other departments.
- Observes employeeguest interactions and coaches staff in guest service skills as necessary.
- Ensures that all guest and internal customer complaints and enquiries are handled in a timely courteous and efficient manner following through to ensure problems are resolved satisfactorily.
- Ensures that the outlet is operated in line with goals to maximizes profitability while delivering on the brand promise.
- Assists the Director of F&B Operations in preparing the Annual Business Plan and budget for the outlet.
- Supports the Director of F&B Operations in analysing outlet business performance to facilitate accurate and meaningful forecasting.
- Seizes marketing and promotional opportunities to raise awareness and drive outlet revenues.
- Proactively supports the Director of F&B Operations and Clients Head of Marketing & Communications to implement the Annual Marketing Plan for F&B operations.
- Manages the outlet pursuing excellence and quality in all aspects of the operation.
- Coordinates proactively and collaboratively with consultantpartner organizations to implement restaurant concept and ensure full delivery of brand promise.
- Ensures that the outlet and surrounding area is always kept clean and organized.
- Oversees the preparation and implementation of outlet manpower rosters to effectively meet operational needs.
- Monitors outlet operations especially during peak business periods making resourcing adjustments where necessary.
- Supports banqueting and other activities as assigned by the Director of F&B Operations.
- Performs any other duties assigned by the Director of F&B Operations as necessary.
- Encourages and motivates employees building trust respect and cooperation within the team.
- Ensures that a positive and harmonious work environment is maintained within the operation.
- Reviews and approves all HRrelated issues ranging from staff personal issues (leaves loan approvals) to manpower planning.
- Supports the Director of F&B Operations with the recruitment selection and orientation of outlet staff.
Ensures that staff - all company and local policies rules and regulations including those related to health and safety security etc.
- Attends training sessions when required and keeps up to date with industry developments/practices.
Requirements- Proven experience in GCC countries within finedining establishments
- Track record of working in Michelinstarred restaurants or top dining destinations in the GCC region
- Type of hire: Overseas candidates or those from the GCC region
- Fluency in French is preferred although candidates from diverse nationalities are welcome
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in a similar managerial role
- Demonstrated stability in career progression and a willingness to relocate to Qatar
- Strong background in catering to the preferences and special requests of GCC clients
- Start date: MidAugust to early September 2024 considering notice periods
- Salary: QAR 19000/ with additional benefits including a fully furnished apartment 28 annual leave days 3 casual leave days 8 public holidays private medical insurance (extendable to family members if married) and yearly airplane ticket encashment to home country and return
- Education & Certification Required: Degree in hospitality or relevant certification preferred
