A Sales Executive in the IT industry is responsible for driving sales and revenue growth for technology products or services. This role involves building and maintaining relationships with clients understanding their technology needs and providing effective solutions. The Sales Executive plays a crucial role in promoting the company s IT offerings identifying new business opportunities and achieving sales targets. They must possess strong technical knowledge excellent communication skills and a deep understanding of the IT sales process.


Responsibilities:

1. Generate Sales Leads: Identify and engage potential customers within the target market through various channels such as cold calling email campaigns social media and attending industry events. Create a robust pipeline of qualified leads for pursuing sales opportunities.
2. Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong longterm relationships with clients. Understand their business objectives technology requirements and challenges to provide customized IT solutions and ensure customer satisfaction.
3. Solution Presentations and Demonstrations: Conduct product or service presentations and demonstrations to showcase the company s IT offerings. Effectively communicate how the solutions align with client needs and provide value to their business operations.
4. Sales Negotiation and Closing: Collaborate with clients to negotiate terms and conditions of sales agreements including pricing licensing servicelevel agreements (SLAs) and contract terms. Overcome objections and address concerns to close deals successfully.
5. Achieve Sales Targets: Meet or exceed assigned sales targets and revenue objectives within the defined timeframe. Develop and implement effective sales strategies including account planning opportunity management and forecasting to drive revenue growth.
6. Market Research and Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends emerging technologies and competitor activities in the IT sector. Conduct market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities understand customer pain points and enhance the company s sales strategies.
7. Sales Reporting and Forecasting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities customer interactions and deal progress in the CRM system. Prepare regular sales reports forecasts and pipeline updates to provide insights into performance sales trends and future opportunities.
8. Continuous Learning and Skill Development: Stay updated on the latest advancements in IT technologies industry best practices and market trends. Continuously enhance technical knowledge and sales skills through training programs certifications and selfstudy.
9. Customer Service and Support: Act as a point of contact for clients addressing inquiries resolving issues and providing exceptional customer service throughout the sales process and postsales support.

Requirements


Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in business marketing or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience of 0 to 2 years in a call center environment.
  • Strong knowledge of sales techniques strategies and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in English & Tamil knowledge of other South Indian / Hindi languages is an added advantage.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in using CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software and sales analytics tools.
  • Resultsoriented with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales target.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
