About the Role We are looking for a Front End engineer to work on our flagship Arabic language site: Kooora is the largest Arabic language football site on the planet, and we have some really exciting work in the pipeline. You will come in and help us realize our roadmap for the rest of the year. This is a full-time remote role for a Frontend Developer. As a Frontend Developer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day tasks of developing and maintaining the front-end of This includes implementing responsive web design, collaborating with back-end developers, and ensuring the overall performance and user experience of the platforms. What You'll Be Doing Work alongside product managers and the chief developer to deliver high-quality front-end features to Kooora's website for use by 70 million users globally. Deliver high-quality, robust, and testable code adhering to internal engineering procedures, code conventions, and development methodologies. Contribute to comprehensive documentation that supports the development and support lifecycles. Monitor system performance and resolve any issues or failures in staging or production environments. What You Have Experience in frontend development - deep knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript (ES6 and later). Experience with modern tools/libraries (SASS, NextJS, React, Angular JS, Graph QL). Knowledge of design patterns and modern programming principles. Proficiency in using version control systems like Git for managing and tracking changes to code. Knowledge of tools like Gulp, Grunt, or Webpack to automate repetitive tasks, optimize assets, and streamline the development workflow. Creativity and problem-solving skills. Fluency in written and spoken English (min. B1) and Arabic. Would Be Great If You Have Experience with : AMP (Accelerated Mobile Pages), Webpack, GTM (Google Tag Manager), Google Optimize, Docker. Experience in building services on AWS cloud (Cloud Front, autoscaling ECS, Dynamo DB, SQS, SNS, Lambda, Elasti Cache). Practical knowledge of version control systems (Git, branching strategies). Ability to write tests using JavaScript (unit, integration, regression). Knowledge of Search Engine Optimization basics. Experience in Agile Software Development and Scrum.
