PR Manager

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement comprehensive PR strategies to promote the companys brand and products.
2. Cultivate and maintain relationships with media outlets journalists bloggers and influencers to secure positive coverage.
3. Write and distribute press releases media kits and other materials to communicate key messages to the media and the public.
4. Coordinate and manage press events product launches and media interviews.
5. Monitor media coverage and industry trends to identify opportunities and potential risks.
6. Collaborate with marketing advertising and social media teams to ensure alignment of messaging and maximize reach.
7. Serve as the company spokesperson and respond to media inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
8. Prepare executives and other key stakeholders for media interviews and public appearances.
9. Manage crisis communications and mitigate negative publicity when necessary.
10. Measure and analyze the effectiveness of PR campaigns and initiatives providing regular reports to management.

Requirements:

1. Bachelors degree in Communications Public Relations Journalism Marketing or related field.
2. Proven work experience in public relations with a minimum of X years in a PR management role.
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft compelling messages and pitches.
4. Strong media relations skills and a network of contacts in the industry.
5. Experience organizing and executing successful PR campaigns and events.
6. Ability to work well under pressure and handle crisis situations calmly and effectively.
7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PR software/tools (e.g. Cision Meltwater Hootsuite).
8. Creative thinking and problemsolving skills with a strategic mindset.
9. Strong organizational and project management abilities with attention to detail.
10. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team with strong interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Masters degree in Public Relations Communications or related field.
2. Certification in PR or related field (e.g. APR CMPR).
3. Experience working in the specific industry or sector.
4. Multilingual proficiency particularly in languages relevant to the companys target markets.
5. Experience working with international media outlets and managing PR campaigns in multiple regions.
