Role: Lead PE (APEGA) Engineer

Role Overview:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Managing and supporting multidisciplinary project teams and communicating with clients in Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) projects for:
  • Project development assignments
  • Technical due diligence assignments
  • Strategic advisory assignments
• Expertise in process simulations and optimization development of process specifications and deliverables including process design basis (PDB) process flow diagrams (PFDs) piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) heat and material balance (H&MB) tables datasheets and process study reports.
• Reviewed Licensor process design packages (PDP) for consistency accuracy and completeness.
• Analyzed overpressure protection system Determined governing relief load and Sized pressure safety valves and Generated datasheets Updated Lethal and toxic service Work Practice.
• Safety system design (Overpressure Relief Analysis PSV sizing) Depressuring Cause and effect diagrams HAZID/HAZOP/SIL studies.
• knowledge of engineering and regulatory standards including API 610 API 2000 API 520 API 521 API 650 API 12J ASME B31.3.

SKILLS QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Engineering in chemical engineering degree required. P.Eng. Certification is Must.
• Experienced and talented chemical engineer.
• Experience in plant design construction to commissioning. CCS experience is preferred.
• Process simulation using ASPEN HYSYS Aspen Plus PROII Chemcad ProMax

Transient and Hydraulic : Pipesim Korf Olga Flowmaster

Heat exchanger design HTRI Aspentech EDR

Flare network design Aspen Flare Analyzer

• Relief load analysis with PSV sizing depressurization studies flare load estimation and design Control Valve and Pump hydraulic Equipment and Instrument sizing
• HMB PFD P&ID Cause and Effect and other process engineering documents.
• HAZOP SIL identification workshop
• Conversant with international codes and standards like API NACE and SHELL DEPs.
