QA Tester

Title: QA Tester

Location: Minneapolis MN MUST be onsite (need candidate within 40 miles)

Duration: 1 year

Responsibilities:

• Drive the current API test automation frameworks and current QA processes and develop and execute manual/automated test scripts using Cucumber and Java/Groovy
• Triage Automation test failures from Jenkins console and identify defects from the same
• Maintain and augment regression suites and execute regression tests as required
• Work with other QA analysts and developers to ensure that all aspects of the applications have proper testing coverage and meet goals for overall system reliability performance and quality
• Establish and maintain bidirectional requirements traceability to test cases
• Utilize proficiency and strong handson experience in developing both manual and automated test scripts
• Build Jenkins pipeline jobs and schedule cron jobs to have automated tests run through it
• Deliver effective and efficient testing solutions by meeting key project milestones and overall project deliverables ontime
• Collaborate and interact with other application teams for integration testing efforts support other teams with their test data requirements
• Develop and provide testing metrics and reports to effectively communicate test status in both program level and application level
• Provide guidance and support to other team members in automation techniques

Qualifications:

• At least 7 years of relevant application software testing experience with various automation tools and technologies
• 5 years of experience in API test automation using Java and/ or other JVM languages etc
• 5 years of experience with GitHub Bitbucket or any SCCM tool
• 5 years Gradle and/or Maven or equivalent build/dependency management tooling
• 5 years of testing proficiency with RESTful APIs using postman
• 3 years of experience with JIRA /Confluence
• 3 years of experience working in a CI/CD Integration environment
• Design build and maintain efficient reusable and reliable code with Intellij or other IDEs

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Behavior Driven Development (BDD) Testing
• Experience integrating automation framework with mock services
• Experience with Groovy Spock framework cucumber
• Experience triaging and monitoring logs with SPLUNK
• Experience in retail domain specifically ecommerce is beneficial
• Experience with different modes of retail fulfillment such as shipping (aka parcel delivery) arranged delivery and /or instore pickup (aka ISPU aka BOPIS) would be ideal
