Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager Buyer with a strong background in FMCG to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sourcing topquality products negotiating favorable terms with suppliers and maintaining optimal inventory levels to meet consumer demand.
Responsibilities:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors ensuring timely delivery of highquality FMCG and confectionary products.
- Identify and source new suppliers while evaluating existing ones to ensure competitiveness in pricing quality and delivery.
- Negotiate favorable terms and contracts with suppliers to secure the s payment terms and promotional support.
- Monitor inventory levels analyze sales trends and collaborate with the inventory management team to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize overstock or stockouts.
- Stay abreast of industry trends market conditions and competitor activities to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Work closely with quality assurance teams to ensure all procured products meet the company's quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement costsaving initiatives without compromising product quality or service levels.
- Collaborate with various departments including sales marketing finance and logistics to align procurement strategies with overall business objectives.
- Maintain accurate records of purchasing activities contracts and supplier performance. Generate regular reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights for decisionmaking.
- Ensure compliance with company policies procedures and regulatory requirements related to procurement and supply chain operations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 35 years of experience in procurement or buying roles within the FMCG or confectionary industry.
- Proven track record of successfully sourcing and negotiating contracts with suppliers.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fastpaced environment.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of industry regulations quality standards and compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing business needs and market dynamics.
