Overview:
The housekeeping role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the assigned area within the organization. Housekeeping personnel play a vital role in creating a pleasant and safe environment for both staff and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping mopping dusting and polishing.
- Ensuring all rooms public areas and workspaces are clean and tidy.
- Notifying management of any damages or deficits.
- Adhering to all company policies and procedures regarding health and safety.
- Coordinating and communicating with other departments to ensure all cleaning duties are completed efficiently.
- Assisting with laundry and linen management as needed.
- Stocking and maintaining cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Handling and resolving guest complaints regarding housekeeping services.
- Collaborating with maintenance and other staff to ensure a clean and wellmaintained facility.
- Assisting with special cleaning projects as required.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a housekeeping or cleaning attendant.
- Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products techniques and methods.
- Ability to work with little supervision while maintaining a high level of performance.
- Physical stamina and mobility including the ability to lift push and pull heavy equipment and furniture.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and thoroughness in performing duties.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification in housekeeping or related field is a plus.
