Sr Embedded Software Engineer C C

Our client has been developing (embedded) systems for renowned hightech companies around the world for over 20 years. Projects involve edge to cloud solutions; from PCB design and FPGA to low level embedded software and application software for UI Web Mobile and cloud. They are well known for the high level of knowledge and expertise.

The role

As a senior Embedded Engineer you will be working in one of the multidisciplinary scrum teams working together with colleagues from e.g. firmware hardware or electronics competence. You will work on the design and implementation of chosen software solutions to develop high quality systems within stateoftheart R&D projects. Often from development of a proof of concept to the delivery of a market ready product. In the embedded systems that are developed memory management and performance optimization are essential.

Tasks and responsibilities

• design implementation and verification of subsystems modules and components;
• write high quality structured code;
• maintaining and debugging existing software solutions;
• sparring partner for peers and stakeholders in and outside of the team;
• participate in meetings (standup sprint planning retrospective design/architectural sessions) and sharing your thoughts and ideas;
• code review and coaching of (junior) engineers;

Requirements

• You have EU/EEA country citizenship or otherwise full working rights for The Netherlands. Visa/Work Permit sponsorship is not offered.
• you have a Masters or Bachelors degree in (applied) Computer Science Computer Engineering Electrical Engineering Embedded Systems Physics and/or Mathematics;
• you have at least 5 years of experience with embedded software development in C and C and you are familiar with O.O. design and programming. You have expertise in other programming languages such as Matlab or Python and have experience in programming on several embedded platforms;
• you are familiar with methodologies and techniques as UML Design Patterns Agile and TDD;
• excellent oral and written command of the English language is required for this role; knowledge of the Dutch language would be a big plus.
