Carpenter I

• Ability to take direction from Lead Carpenter or Foreman and apply to the work
  
• Ability to understand factors that impact materials waste and execute the work in a fashion to limit waste and increase efficiency
  
• Ability to recognize or identify potential issues and remedy them immediately before they become a problem
  
• Fluid with reading a tape measure and being able to quickly add/subtract dimensions proficiently
  
• Capable of effective use of the most commonly used carpentry tools and equipment
  
• Ability to install materials under guided direction
  
• Has experience completing rough framing window and door installs soffit and fascia siding finish carpentry etc.
  
• Uses levels rulers framing squares survey equipment or other necessary equipment to verify materials are installed within required tolerances and measurements
  
• Erects scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level
  
• Follows all established safety rules uses personal protective equipment (PPE) as may be required and always maintains a safe and clean environment on the job site
  
• Shows up to work on time and is ready to work at the start time
  

• Take responsibility for the care and use of company owned or rented equipment
  
• Ensure all company policies and procedures are adhered to at all times
  
• Represent the company professionally and always conduct their work with a respectful attitude to all parties on a project
  
• Perform other unique tasks as may be required to conduct business as requested by company management
  

Requirements

• Ability to apply concepts such as simple math and fractions ratios proportions scales etc. to practical working situations
  
• Knowledgeable in the general practice of construction methods tools materials and equipment used in the construction of homes commercial buildings or other structure types as may be encountered
  
• Selfmotivated with the ability to think critically and plan prioritize and work effectively and efficiently under pressure and tight timelines
  
• Has ability to interpret plans and specifications and other details or drawings as may be applicable
  
• Knowledgeable in OSHA standards and requirements
  
• A valid drivers license is required
  
• Handles multiple tasks simultaneously with frequent interruptions
  
• Performs prompt accurate work in fastpaced setting
  
• Effective communication skills
  
• Must be willing to travel
