About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Developer to build out the next version of our app. The 1% Club so far is primarily a community app with a learning management system. Going forward we are also entering the FinTech space as a core element of our offering. The role of this hire would be to play the most important role of spearheading the development with a focus on Backend system design and building out an architecture that integrates our key functionality of edtech communitytech and fintech.
Key Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate would be:
- Having 3 years of experience.
- Very handson with the development with 20% people management skills
- Strong with Backend and Frontend
- The ability to work efficiently in terms of resourcefulness
- Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail
Experience & Background
- Experience in developing and maintaining applications using React and mobile applications using React Native
- Having experience in backend REST API development and building scalable architecture using Node.js.
- Have experience in Queues such as Redis Kafka or others
- Have experience in working with different databases such as PostgreSQL MongoDB
- Advanced knowledge of AWS and hosting then in EC2 or ECS and keen understanding of dev ops
- Experience in data security
- Knowing the Fintech space and having built something out over it is a major plus
We are actively seeking an individual with expertise in both Fintech and RegTech. Our community platform incorporates elements of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and EdTech making knowledge of these a strong plus.
Nonnegotiables include writing clean and extensible code (readable maintainable and testable) as this will be worked upon by other engineers in the future. Problemsolving skills are crucial even if a reported bug cannot be fixed immediately. The ability to determine the approach is highly valued.

Preferred Qualifications
- Specific experience designing and building APIs and/or mobile SDKs.
- Contributions to opensource libraries.
- Experience collaborating on product design with multiple crossfunctional stakeholders.
- Having a high bar for keeping solutions expressive yet simple to use
