Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret and analyze diagnostic imaging including Xrays CT scans MRIs and ultrasounds.
• Provide timely and accurate radiology reports to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment.
• Collaborate with referring physicians and other medical staff to discuss diagnoses and treatment plans.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures.
• Utilize advanced medical technology and software to perform imageguided procedures.
• Stay updated with the latest developments and advancements in radiology and medical imaging.
• Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences to review complex cases and provide insights.
• Supervise and train radiologic technologists and other staff members.
• Adhere to ethical and professional standards in the practice of radiology.
• Contribute to quality improvement and assurance initiatives within the radiology department.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Participate in research and contribute to academic and scientific publications.

Required Qualifications:

• Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of a residency program in diagnostic radiology.
• Board certification or eligibility for certification in diagnostic radiology.
• Licenses to practice medicine and radiology in the relevant state or country.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy physiology and medical imaging techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with healthcare teams and convey diagnoses to patients.
• Proficiency in using radiologyspecific software and electronic medical record systems.
• Ability to work in a fastpaced and highpressure environment while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
• Commitment to ongoing education and professional development in the field of radiology.
• Understanding of radiation safety and protection measures for patients and staff.
• Experience in performing and interpreting a wide range of imaging procedures.
• Capability to adapt to technological advancements and innovations in medical imaging and radiology.
• Strong ethical and moral conduct with respect for patient confidentiality and privacy.
• Ability to make critical decisions and handle emergency situations with composure and efficiency.
