Job Title: Forklift Driver

Reports To: Production Specialist

Primarily First Shift; but candidate needs to be flexible.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Professional accidentfree operation of the forklift and the precise keeping of the forklift inspections.

Systematic maintenance and cleaning of the forklift

Continuous tracking of the location of goods during material handling using WMS. Use the WMSystem accordingly and ensure accurate data entry.

Perform any other manual job at the direction of the warehouse supervisor or team lead (e.g. sampling inventory cleaning)

Keep the warehouse clean and tidy

During the seed delivery and return season: ensure proper (loading and unloading) of transport vehicles with quality packages to meet customer expectations

Maintain safety standards initiate & follow emergency procedures when necessary

PREFFERED EXPERIENCE

1 year of forklift experience

1 year of warehouse experience

Prior forklift certification is preferred

SKILLS

Ability to count accurately when moving inventory

Ability to read scales

Ability to multitask and detailed oriented

Being alert and aware when driving the forklift in a safe manner

Ability to communicate and work by yourself or with a team

Ability to work in tighter confined spaces with a forklift

QUALIFICATIONS/BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS

Pass a background check and other preemployment screenings

Have reliable transportation to the site and be able to arrive at the work site as instructed.

Maintain enthusiasm good attitude honesty and a willingness to treat all with respect

Operates fork lift to push pull lift stack tier or move products equipment or materials in warehouse area. Follows regulatory requirements. May require certification. May use technology (PCs scanners etc.) to complete job tasks.
