Automation Engineer - Selenium Java

Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Design develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium with Java.
• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to understand project requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Execute automated test suites and analyze results to identify and report defects.
• Contribute to the enhancement of the automation framework and test infrastructure.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and provide inputs for refining user stories from a testing perspective.
• Implement continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) for automated test suites.
• Identify opportunities for test optimization and efficiency improvement.
• Work closely with developers to resolve issues and reproduce defects.
• Conduct peer reviews of test scripts and provide constructive feedback.
• Document test plans test cases and test results for reference and reporting.
• Stay updated with the latest automation testing trends and tools to enhance the testing process.
• Contribute to creating and maintaining a culture of quality within the organization.
• Provide mentorship and training to junior team members in automation testing best practices.
• Participate in root cause analysis and contribute to problemsolving initiatives.
• Support version control and configuration management of test assets.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in automation testing using Selenium with Java.
• Strong proficiency in Java programming for test automation.
• Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools and practices.
• Indepth knowledge of Agile methodologies and practices.
• Ability to write and execute SQL queries for testing purposes.
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle and software testing principles.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python Shell or JavaScript.
• Excellent problemsolving and debugging skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment.
• Capability to work in a fastpaced dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git or SVN.
• Certifications in automation testing or related areas would be a plus.
• Experience with performance and security testing would be advantageous.
• Ability to adapt to new technologies and tools quickly.
