Quality Engineer

Objective and Purpose:As a Product Quality Engineer you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the continuous improvement of our product quality. You will serve as the main interface between Ascoms Customer Care organization and the R&D Engineering Team focusing on solving issues related to our products and solutions.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Contribute to sustaining and maintaining the quality and functionality of Ascoms core product portfolio.
• Manage NCRs (NonConformance Reports) from endtoend ensuring effective communication and progress updates.
• Evaluate incoming Jira tickets for potential product nonconformities.
• Collaborate with Engineers to replicate and evaluate reported issues.
• Participate in testing scheduled product releases to enhance product quality.
• Provide suggestions for product enhancements and improvements to the product manager.
• Proactively analyze and improve maintenance workflows and processes.
• Share technical updates and information within the organization and crossfunctionally.
• Support troubleshooting activities with Ascom customers onsite when necessary.

Requirements:

Qualifications and Work Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Mechatronics Mechanical Engineering Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 5 years of applicable industry experience in similar roles.
• Industry experience in medical devices is preferred.

Skills and Competencies:

• Deep knowledge of Ascoms product portfolio and relevant processes.
• Excellent technical understanding and communication skills.
• Ability to engage stakeholders provide a sense of urgency and follow through on commitments.
• Strong assertive communication and conflict resolution skills.
• Proficiency in English both oral and written.
