CT Scan Technologist

We are looking for CT Scan Technologist in Hackensack NJ. We need someone with min 2 years of experience as CT Scan Technologist.

Shift Time: Day/Night with every third weekend availability.

Contract: 13 Weeks with possible extension.

Confirmed Hours: 40 (8*5) hours per week.

Regular Rate: $85.94/hr. (Blended rate for Travelers)

Package for Travelers: (Based on 40 hours per week)

Total Gross Income: $3437.6/week

NonTaxable Amount: $1512.00/week (Max)

Taxable Amount: $1925.6/week

Certification Required:

• ARRT Certified R.T.(R) license
• BLS from AHA (American Heart Association)
• NJ DEP Diagnostic Radiography License

Licensure: Currently licensed to practice in the state of New Jersey or Compact State.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology and radiological positioning of the human body.
• Understanding mechanical attributes of CT software and hardware.
• Knowledge of PACS system.
• Maintains CEU Credits.

Responsibilities:

• Performs complex CT procedures.
• Ensuring information is documented and scanned into PACS.
• Responsible for calling physicians to clarify the prescription in accordance with the appropriate CT protocols.
• Responsible for obtaining outside studies (CD) then scheduling them in EPIC so the CD and reports are available in PACS in order to be compared by Radiologists.
• Evaluates radiographs using PACS System to ensure that radiographs contain proper identification and are of diagnostic value.
• Preps patient for scanning: (i.e. shielding immobilization devices).
• Determines appropriate type and dose of contrast to be administered.
• Performs venipuncture IV patency and maintenance procedures according to established guidelines.
• Monitors the patients physical condition for any adverse reactions during the procedure.
• On call assignments as needed per Department of Radiology policy.
