2nd Shift Refrigeration Maintenance

Job Title: 2nd Shift Refrigeration Maintenance Full Time
Location: Onsite Council Bluffs IA

Salary: As per Exp.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor operate and repair ammonia systems and refrigeration equipment including compressors evaporators condensers piping systems insulation systems and general equipment related to ammonia systems.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and safety checks throughout the designated area.
• Perform any other work as assigned by supervisor/manager.
• Comply with all safety food safety GMP and SQF standards.
• Prefer experience with plant compressed air systems and all water supply systems (e.g. chill water hot water city water and glycol systems).
• Must be able to pass a basic physical and pulmonary test and wear a Respirator (Self Contained Breathing Apparatus).
• Perform tasks requiring standing walking bending stretching pushing and reaching as well as climbing up/down stairs and ladders.
• Work in various environments and temperatures including heat cold rain snow wind water and mud.
• Move to different areas of the plant and adapt to different temperatures and environments as needed.
• Possess strong communication skills to interact with management Quality Assurance vendors and USDA.
• Understand technical training manuals and complete necessary paperwork with basic math skills.
• Work competently and efficiently with little or no supervision.
• Be available for overtime weekends and other shifts as needed to cover vacations training and special projects.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 6 months of continuous work experience in maintenance with a single employer within the last 12 months or currently attending/graduated from an industrial maintenance training program in the last 3 years.

NicetoHave Skills:

• Refrigeration or Process Safety Management (PSM) experience is preferred but not required.
• Experience or education on any refrigeration system is a plus with a willingness to learn the ammonia refrigeration trade.
