Sub-Function and Overview: Finance Application Support
Job Summary:
The Finance Applications Support is focused on the continuous improvement of the firm’s finance systems and ensuring its smooth operation across the finance function and wider business.
The person also is responsible for ensuring support levels provided to its users and also ensuring critical matters are escalated and resolved in a timely manner.
Technical:
Roles and Responsibilities:
Supporting the firm's finance systems and ensuring its smooth operation across the finance function and wider business.
Assist with testing the system during the upgrades and reporting issues
Ensuring adequate support levels are provided to users and issues raised are resolved in a timely manner with minimal disruption to operations.
Assist with supporting queries that require SQL knowledge
Run basic/Standard reports extraction using SQL DataBase
Assist in enhancement internal documentation using VBA
Troubleshooting and root cause analysis of various queries and issues related to the finance system
Be responsible for contributing to the ongoing activities and enhancements requests.
Customer
Provide level 1-2 support for end users
Working closely with colleagues in technology and transformation functions to understand critical issues
Required Competencies:
Strong analytical, consultative, and communication skills
Required Skills:
Technical skills in an ERP or finance system preferred
Experience in Microsoft Technologies (SQL Server, VBA, Excel) a must
