Radiology Cardiology - Nuclear Medicine Tech

• Shift: Day 5x8Hour (08:00 16:00) MondayFridayNo weekends 40 hours/week
  
• Work Location: Onsite; Glens Falls NY
  

• Explain procedures to patients addressing any concerns and obtaining consent.
  
• Administer radioactive materials to patients through injection ingestion or inhalation depending on the specific procedure.
  
• Operate specialized imaging equipment such as gamma cameras or PET scanners to capture images of internal structures and functions.
  
• Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret images and provide accurate results.
  
• Adhere to strict safety protocols to protect patients staff and oneself from unnecessary radiation exposure.
  
• Perform routine quality control checks on imaging equipment to ensure proper functioning.
  
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of procedures including patient information administered doses and imaging parameters.
  
• Provide care and support to patients during and after procedures.
  
• Collaborate with radiologists cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to discuss findings and contribute to patient diagnosis and treatment plans.
  
• Communicate effectively with patients to address concerns and provide clear instructions.
  

Requirements

• Degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university; BSN required
  
• Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying
  

• 1 year experience required.
