الوصف الوظيفي
*** Selected candidate must reside within two (2) hours of Federal Headquarters in Woodlawn MD
*** Selected candidate must be willing to work onsite at least 2 days a week.
Position Description:
- Champion PostgreSQL Community Edition and drive innovation and automation.
- Attend all customer technical discussions/design/development meetings and provide technical inputs to further enhance the code quality/process.
- Provide guidance/support/training to other junior/midlevel staff.
- Impact functional strategy by developing new solutions processes standards or operational plans that position Leidos competitively in the marketplace.
- All other duties as assigned or directed.
Key Required Skills:
Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL with Community Edition database with a focus on automation high availability and database backup and recovery.
Requirements
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Mathematics Engineering or a related field with 7 years of experience
- Masters or Doctorate degree may substitute for required experience.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust
- Proven experience with PostgreSQL Community Edition.
Required Skills
- Excellent communication and written skills.
- Senior Level knowledge of PostgreSQL Community Edition.
- Senior Level knowledge of PostgreSQL recovery and high availability.
- Strong experience installing maintaining and documenting PG in an RedHat Linux environment.
- Experience with GIT/BitBucket Jira and Confluence or similar tools
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
- Understanding of database techniques and best practices.
Desired Skills
- Experience with Ansible automation and best practices.
- Proven work in DevOps Environment.
- Experience working on Agile projects and understanding Agile terminology.
