QA Engineer

Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to understand project requirements and identify test scenarios.
• Develop and execute test plans test cases and test scripts for both manual and automated testing.
• Conduct functional regression and performance testing to ensure the stability and scalability of the software.
• Identify record and track defects using appropriate bug tracking tools.
• Participate in agile ceremonies and provide feedback on product quality and readiness.
• Conduct root cause analysis of identified issues and provide recommendations for resolution.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure timely bug fixes and validate the fixes.
• Document test results and create comprehensive test reports for management review.
• Stay updated with the latest testing tools techniques and best practices.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the QA process and methodologies.
• Participate in release and deployment activities to ensure a smooth product delivery.
• Support customer issue resolution by reproducing and investigating reported issues.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior members of the QA team.
• Adhere to quality standards regulatory requirements and company policies.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in manual and automated software testing.
• Proficiency in using testing tools such as Selenium JIRA or similar tools.
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle and QA methodologies.
• Experience in testing web and mobile applications across different platforms and browsers.
• Familiarity with performance testing tools and techniques.
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
• Capability to work in an agile environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Certifications such as ISTQB or CSTE are a plus.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Understanding of version control systems such as Git for test code management.
• Knowledge of API testing and related tools like Postman or SoapUI.
• Commitment to continuous learning and selfimprovement in the field of quality assurance.
