Radiologic Tech

Serendipity Staffing Solutions is currently on the lookout for a Radiologic Technologist. In this role youll collaborate under the general supervision of a Radiologist performing radiology procedures on both ambulatory and hospital patients. Your services will be requested by physicians or other licensed providers to diagnose diseases and injuries all conducted in alignment with established protocols.

Responsibilities:

Performs highquality radiology procedures according to exam protocol in a timely manner maintaining production and quality of imaging procedures following established standards and procedures.

Utilizes AIDET when communicating with patients to identify service requirements ensure correct exams are performed and establish rapport. Instructs and communicates with patients and their families regarding the test assessing the patients ability to tolerate the exam.

Prepares patients and the area for the procedure by positioning the patient adjusting immobilization devices moving equipment into the specified position and adjusting equipment controls to set exposure factors.

Protects patients and staff by adhering to safety requirements infection control drug and radiation policies protocols and techniques. Uses proper sterile techniques for setting up and performing invasive multimodality procedures and maintains hand hygiene requirements.

Maintains equipment and work area to meet quality and cleanliness standards collaborating with engineers and physicists to ensure optimal operational capabilities of equipment.

Reports issues to management or the appropriate department and assists in maintaining supplies inventory.

Screens individuals according to approved policies and procedures to ensure the safety of entering the department.

Obtains verifies and maintains all relevant documentation such as requisition/chart patient history pregnancy status shielding precautions consent forms policies and procedures etc.

Maintains medical imaging records in the appropriate system and follows department policies and standards for interpretation in a timely manner.

Requirements:

Ability to perform highquality radiology procedures according to exam protocol in a timely manner.

Effective communication skills to explain procedures and put patients at ease.

Timely accurate and costefficient provision of services in compliance with established system and regulatory standards policies and procedures.

Capability to perform tasks independently without routine oversight.

Calm and helpful attitude even under stress with the ability to take appropriate steps to resolve issues.

Proficiency in administering first aid and using an emergency cart.

Ensures customer satisfaction by limiting wait times providing courteous service maintaining professionalism reviewing patient satisfaction scores and developing action plans when required.

Demonstrates current knowledge continued education and skills appropriate for various age groups: newborn pediatric young adult adult and geriatric.

Ability to serve as a preceptor by providing quality training to new team members and on new services and initiatives.

Qualifications:

Education: Graduation from an Accredited Program.

Experience: Less than 1 year of experience.

Certification/License/Registration:

ARRTR Radiography (ARRTR).

Basic Life Support (BLS): BLS or BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer.

Medical Radiologic Tech (MRT): Licensed by the State of Texas Medical Board as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT).
