We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cloud Telephony Networking Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in networking with a focus on cloud telephony systems. As a Cloud Telephony Networking Technician you will play a crucial role in designing implementing and maintaining our cloudbased telephony infrastructure. You should possess a deep understanding of networking protocols cloud telephony platforms and troubleshooting methodologies.
Responsibilities:
Network Design and Implementation:
- Design and implement cloud telephony solutions ensuring seamless integration with existing network infrastructure.
- Configure routers switches gateways and other networking equipment to optimize telephony performance.
Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution:
- Diagnose and resolve telephonyrelated issues including voice quality call drops and connectivity problems.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective measures.
Cloud Telephony Management:
- Administer and maintain cloud telephony platforms such as VoIP and Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS).
- Monitor system performance and implement improvements to enhance efficiency.
Security and Compliance:
- Implement and enforce security measures to protect telephony systems from potential threats.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and security best practices.
Hardware Configuration:
- Configure and maintain telephony hardware including IP phones gateways and related equipment.
- Collaborate with vendors for hardware support and troubleshooting.
Quality of Service (QoS):
- Manage and optimize Quality of Service parameters to ensure highquality voice communication.
- Implement QoS policies and monitor performance metrics.
Scripting and Automation:
- Utilize scripting and automation to streamline routine tasks and customize telephony configurations.
- Implement automation for call routing and system monitoring.
Documentation:
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations telephony setups and troubleshooting procedures.
- Provide detailed reports on system performance and improvements.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to integrate telephony services with other cloudbased applications.
- Communicate effectively with endusers vendors and internal stakeholders.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Information Technology Telecommunications or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Cloud Telephony Networking Technician or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols TCP/IP VLANs and routing.
- Experience with cloud telephony platforms VoIP and UCaaS.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting telephonyrelated issues.
- Knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with telephony hardware configuration.
