Purpose of the position
To assemble and configure devices to be shipped to customers meeting customers set out requirements. This includes software and hardware configuration of the payment solutions offered by Instore Payments. (Pebble Blade 3rd Party devices peripherals etc). You are responsible to combine separate components to make up a device or package for products that Instore Payments needs to distribute to customers. This includes final packaging and bulk shipment software configuration and key loading.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Key Loading: To prepare devices for shipping to separate / different customers
- To ensure quality standards are met
- To ensure devices are fully functional and operational and in a good condition
- That the setup processes are followed and are ISO9001:2015 compliant
- To have excellent housekeeping skills in the working environment and follow safety standards
- Respect the value and sensitivity of the product
- Find solutions to optimize the processes and procedures and reduce costs where possible
- Identify flaws and communicate these timeously
- Verify software integration with the Support Engineer according to WDTHB19453
- Cleaning of devices to be shipped and physically inspect each device for defects
- Report all defects and discrepancies to the Procurement and Logistics Manager
- Housekeeping Procedure to be followed at all times (WDTHB19406)
Requirements
Education and Experience
- Grade 12
- English communication
- Two years experience in relevant or related position
- Proficient computer skills and Spreadsheet skills
