TITLE-Data Governance Program Director
LOCATION-CHICAGO OR DC area
DURATION-12+MONTHS
IMP SKILLS-

Top Requirements:

  • Healthcare experience required with Blues plans
  • 8 years experience building a data governance structure (council, process, policies, etc) across complicated organizations
  • Solid experience creating data governance policies, procedures and data standards
  • Excellent communicate and adept at consensus building
  • Candidate must have recent healthcare experience and it must be at a healthcare insurance provider (I submitted a healthcare candidate who worked at a university and they were rejected). All the details are below. This is with our client Blue Cross Blue Shield Association and this is the highest priority position we have right now. We can fill it this week potentially with the right candidate.
    ** MUST BE ABLE TO WORK ONSITE IN CHICAGO OR DC area
    Require direct hires to work hybrid (onsite a few days a week).
    CTH conversation rate 140k-150k (likely a 6-month CTH)

    Data Governance
    DO NOT WANT: someone who is working on IT side. NOT Data quality.
    WANT: someone executing data gov framework (everything org needs to make sure data is managed correctly, executed correctly, etc) Policies, processes, framework.
    Keywords: policies, guidelines, standards, critical data elements, data governance, data stewards)

    Highly preferring Blue's plan exp. Given limited geographies likely flexible on NOT requiring that specific exp. Healthcare domain exp would be required.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • Broad and deep understanding of health care data and health insurance business process and operations preferably in a healthcare environment.
    • Understanding of data governance, preferably in a federated environment.
    • Working knowledge of data quality best practices, including data profiling and issue resolution.
    • Working knowledge of health insurance standard datasets.
    • Working knowledge of business process design and modeling.
    • Working knowledge of data flow creation and documentation.
    • Demonstrated ability to gather requirements and information in the development of deliverables.
    • Analytical skills with data and business processes, i.e., the ability to analyze complex business and data issues and develop and prioritize alternate courses of action to address them.
    • Relationship management skills: ability to develop key business partnerships both internal and external, build peer relationships; ability to build effective relationships with cross-functional teams, demonstrated interpersonal skills for building and fostering key relationships
    • Effective organization, presentation, negotiation, and communications skills (oral and written).
    • Critical thinking skills relative to problem analysis/resolution.
