The Unconventional Compute team at ExxonMobil is looking for a new team member to fill a Senior Compute contractor role at the ExxonMobil campus in Spring, TX. This role will entail providing compute design, implementation, and support for company sites in Americas region. Some of the activities that will be performed includes implementation, replacement and support of servers, storage, backup, and virtualization (VMware) solutions. Must have excellent customer service skills to provide support for IT employees/customers in our district/field offices. Experience working in the oil/gas industry is preferred. As part of this role, you will be expected to report our Spring office daily and participate in a rotating on-call support schedule.

Team Overview:
The Unconventional Network team designs, implements, and support servers and storage at ExxonMobil district and field offices located throughout the United States. We primarily work with Dell, NetApp, And VMware. Our team is located in Houston and we are starting to expand our presence to Argentina.

Technical Skills:
o Expert level Windows Server Administration with minimum of 10 years of experience
o Expert level VMware Administration with minimum of 5 years experience with VMware
o Strong knowledge and understanding of backup software (Veeam and Commvault)
o Understanding of network fundamentals (VLANS, IP addressing, subnet masks, layer 2 & 3 routing)
o Automation skills are a preferred (PowerShell, Python, Ansible, Atomic, etc)
o Working knowledge of:
NFS
ISCSI
CrowdStrike/Sentinal One/SEP
DNS (Infoblox/BloxOne are a bonus)
Linux is a bonus
