A healthcare organization is seeking to hire a Payroll Specialist. In this seat, you will be processing bi-weekly payroll for about 300 Massachusetts employees using Paycom software. This is a stand-alone role, so looking for someone who has had similar responsibility and ideally has a background recording payroll entries. Looking for a candidate who has 3+ years of payroll processing experience, has used Paycom or a similar software, and has worked in the non-profit space (preferred, but not required).

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage and process bi-weekly payroll for employees using Paycom software
  • Ensure accurate and timely entry of payroll data, including hours worked, deductions, and bonuses
  • Prepare and distribute paychecks to employees
  • Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve any discrepancies
  • Prepare journal entries related to payroll transactions
  • Analyze payroll reports and provide insights to management
  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements by providing payroll-related information
  • Collaborate with the HR department to ensure accurate employee data in the payroll system
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee payroll information
  • Assist employees with payroll questions in addition to troubleshooting solutions to gain access to their profile
  • Report to the Payroll administrator with all payroll issues and concerns


Requirements

  • Previous experience in payroll is a must (at least 3 years)
  • Experience with Union and Prevailing employees is preferred
  • Knowledge with 401k reporting and processing
  • Proficiency in using Paycom or similar payroll software (at least 3 years)
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex payroll data
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity


QUALIFICATIONS: A minimum of 5 years of accounts payable experience required Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with experience using formulas/pivot tables, etc. Experience with NetSuite is a plus, requires experience with accounting software Strong ability in managing priorities Strong customer service skills Knowledge of three way matching of purchase orders, packing slips and invoices Ability to perform in a high-growth, fast-paced, collaborative work environment Ideal candidates will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organization skills, thrive in a fast-paced environment and keen attention to details
