We are looking for a Data Entry Clerk/ Virtual Assistant to provide administrative support to our team while working remotely.The ideal candidate will be computer savvy and a fast typist with a keen eye for detail. You will report to a data manager or another senior data team member. Understanding of data confidentiality principles is compulsory. The company will rely on you for having accurate and updated data that are easily accessible through a digital database.

As a Virtual Assistant, you will perform various administrative tasks, including answering emails, scheduling meetings and making travel arrangements. For this role, a strong Internet connection is required, along with experience using communication tools like Skype. Ultimately, you should be able to handle administrative projects and deliver high-quality work under minimum supervision.


Responsibilities

  • Transfer data from paper formats into computer files or database systems using keyboards, data recorders or optical scanners
  • Type in data provided directly from customers
  • Create spreadsheets with large numbers of figures without mistakes
  • Verify data by comparing it to source documents
  • Update existing data
  • Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested
  • Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation
  • Sort and organize paperwork after entering data to ensure it is not lost
  • Perform market research
  • Create presentations, as assigned
  • Generate, edit, publish and share daily content (original text, images, video or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action


Requirements :

  • Proven experience as data entry clerk
  • Fast typing skills; Knowledge of touch typing system is strongly preferred
  • Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel etc.)
  • Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices
  • Basic understanding of databases
  • Good command of English both oral and written and customer service skills
  • Great attention to detail
  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Proven experience as a Virtual Assistant or relevant role
  • Experience with word-processing software and spreadsheets (e.g. MS Office)
  • Excellent time management skills
  • High school diploma; additional qualifications as an Administrator or Executive Assistant are a plus
  • Positive attitude, detail and customer orientedwith good multitasking and organisational ability

  • Ability to type 9,000 keystrokes per hour.
  • Ability to grasp and retain instructions.
  • High level of concentration.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Specialised training in data entry or prior experience.
  • You are extremely organized and possess high attention to detail
