Shall have ITI or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. Shall have good command of English language.
Minimum 8 to 10 years experience as Lubricator. Should have worked in Petrochemical/Petrochemical Industry.
Oversees the selection and performance specifications of all lubricants for each machine, assisted by the lubrication engineer, equipment OEMs and lubricant suppliers. Ensures lubricants are optimally selected with respect to cost, wear control, energy conservation, safety, quality and environmental factors.
Selects oil mist, single-point, centralized (multipoint) and other automatic lubrication equipment for grease and oil. Selects oil level control devices.
Selects sight glasses and BS&W bowls. Selects lubricant dispensing equipment. Sound commitment to safety. Fault finding and inspections, Maintaining machinery history and reporting. Complete any non-routine inspection requests as required, Preventative maintenance
Conduct predictive tests and inspections, Lubrication and scheduled maintenance of fixed plant machinery
Update scheduling systems, including adding notes to system and requesting work orders for maintenance repairs and activities. Perform field level oil analysis, including (e.g.) Crackle, Viscosity and Blotter Test, as required. Schedule, collect, label and mail samples with requisite details, for analysis. Perform basic evaluation of oil analysis results and recommend current and future maintenance actions. Troubleshoot common lubrication-related procedural and equipment problems. Report in writing any discrepancies or conditions that require corrective, predictive or planned maintenance for production systems.
