The Role
Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Digital Designer will have full responsibility for designing on-brand creative solutions which contribute to the development of both the 2 main business brands alongside two inhouse Graphic Designers and work with a Brand Manager and Marketing Executive.
Through a combination of B2B and B2C marketing, the ideal addition to the team should be able to efficiently combine creativity, functionality, and technology to produce eye-catching and informative content. In this role, organisational and technical skills are key, emphasis is placed on heavily on utilising in-depth knowledge of design software programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Work with the Marketing Team to produce on-brand eye-catching campaigns that align with the company’s overall aesthetic
Create digital assets for a range of platforms including social media channels, display advertising, eCommerce, websites, mobile and email marketing
Design and produce interactive online content, including video, animation, email and web graphics and promotional material to include e-books
Design and develop landing pages and email concepts to support digital campaigns
Collaborate with the IT and Marketing teams to ensure that all online designs meet usability and accessibility standards
Ensure consistency in designs and content across all company platforms
Provide advice and guidance on the aesthetic for campaigns, projects, and promotional events
Research industry trends to present ideas and concepts for timely digital innovation
Help to review product/brand positioning and online marketing content to identify room for improvement
Work with Marketing to help devise initiatives to increase site traffic and achieve key conversion targets
Keep up to date with digital transformation marketing trends
While this role is primarily digital design focussed, the person may also be required to help with the design and creation of print collateral from time to time, depending on the demands of the business
The ideal appointment will:
Have a minimum of 5 years digital design experience Bachelors Degree in design or a related field Expertise of digital design software, including Adobe Creative Cloud applications including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat. Ability to clearly present design ideas and concepts for campaigns and projects Working knowledge of CSS and HTML5 Strong knowledge of current digital design best practices Ambition to grow and develop their careers
