Housekeeper

Position Overview:

Seeking an experienced Housekeeper for a semi-formal residence located in the Cabbagetown area of Toronto. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring the overall cleanliness and organization of the residence. This position is full-time, live-out with seasonal hours that change based on the principal s travel schedule. Candidates should be flexible with their schedules and be open to adjusting their shifts with prior notice.

Candidate Profile:

You are an experienced and well-rounded housekeeping professional who enjoys keeping a clean and organized home. You have a strong understanding of household hygiene and cleaning best practices. You have a do what it takes attitude and have a calm and collected approach when things dont go as planned. You are comfortable working on your own the majority of the time.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Daily housekeeping to include dusting, vacuuming, kitchen and bathroom cleaning, washing floors
  
• Maintain household inventory
  
• Frequent packing, and unpacking of suitcases for travel
  
• Care of fine furnishings, fixtures, fabrics, finishes, and surfaces
  
• Daily laundry, ironing and steaming
  
• Trash and recycling management
  
• Cover and uncover outdoor furniture
  
• Special projects include, but not limited to, quarterly deep cleans, household cupboard and closet cleaning and reorganization
  
• Reporting household inventory to manage the household stock
  
• Other duties as required from time to time
  

Applicant Qualities:

• Must have 3 years of previous experience working in a semi-formal residence
  
• Excellent housekeeping, laundry and ironing skills; correct use of products and methods for fine finishes and surfaces
  
• Must maintain privacy and confidentiality at all times, exercise diplomacy, discretion and respect of boundaries; a uniform will be required
  
• Applicants must be service oriented with excellent English communication skills
  
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
  

Covid 19 Considerations:

In order to maintain the health and safety of the workplace, this position will require a fully vaccinated candidate as a condition of employment. Proof of vaccination will be required by the candidate prior to their start date. Proof means documentation verifying receipt of a vaccination series approved by Health Canada.

Candidates will be required to comply with all established health and safety measures, which may include screening, wearing a mask or face covering, using provided PPE, maintaining appropriate physical distancing and self-monitoring of potential COVID-19 symptoms.
