Industrial Painter/Sand Blaster

Job Brief:
Job Title;  Industrial Painting/Blaster Job

Job Pay: $22-25 DOE - (Company also does PW jobs $43.50 hr generally is their PW rate)

Location:  Washington, Oregon, & Idaho

Office location is out of Bellingham WA and job sites vary

Job Summary

Sandblasters use specialized equipment to apply sand or other abrasive materials to surfaces. They commonly work with metals, wood, ceramics, and other materials that are difficult to clean by hand. Sandblasting is used to smooth out rough spots on a surface, remove paint or rust, or prepare an object for painting or coating. Work environments could be at the shop, on a land based construction site, or shipyard.

Job Duties:

-set up sandblasting equipment

-Operate sandblasting equipment

-set up containment structures for environmental controls and dust containment

-equipment maintenance

-cleaning brushes, rollers and other equipment used for painting

-repair damaged surface w/ putty or other fillers

-mix and apply various industrial coating systems

-handle and prepare waste for proper disposal

Required Skills:

-Attention to detail

-strong communication

-Follow Safety and OSHA protocols

-Be okay with confined spaces, respirators, and heights. 

-lift up to 50lbs continuously 

-Must be willing to travel with crews if needed.  Stay and Per Diem is provided.

Certifications- (not required)

*also good to note, if any of these certifications are expired customer will assist with renewal.*
