General Description This is a career opportunity with the Supervisor of Election's office to provide assistance in all major functions of Information Technology and election administration. Must be able to take a lead role assisting with software/hardware programs and projects. Includes writing standard operating procedures, ability to read and understand Florida Statutes. Assist with website management, GIS mapping projects, set up of the early voting sites and warehouse projects. This applicant will learn the process for voter registration, vote-by-mail, and election software. Detailed oriented, ability to multitask, ability to work independently and on a team. This is a fast-paced position in a constantly changing environment.
Salary: $19.00 - $26.44 per hour DOE
Essential Functions Provide assistance to the elections department technology team to prepare for elections and training. Maintain working knowledge of software programs directly related to elections and voter registration. Assist with website maintenance and creation of ADA documents. Work alongside administration for the setup of Early Voting Sites/Precincts. Participate in the creation of training manuals and standard operation procedures. Assist with GIS mapping projects. Provide assistance with hands on warehouse projects. Assist voter registration area with list maintenance projects. Provide customer service and office coverage. Provide assistance in the election process as requested. Assist the Supervisor of Elections with special projects. Maintains a working knowledge of Florida Election Laws and Florida Statutes, Rules, procedures, and processes. Minimum Requirements:
Education, Training, and Experience 4 Year Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, or related field. Comparable amount of training experience or performance may be substituted for the minimum qualifications. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
