Position: Paralegal Conveyancing Solicitor Residential andCommercialProperty

Because of the above ethos, they have an ongoing pipeline of business from residential property buyers, property developers, Commercial Property Companies, and Landlords
This means they need to keep pace with demand and are seeking 1-3 year Property paralegal who can handle all the support functions needed on a conveyancing file in a professional and timely manner
Previous successful paralegals have been rewarded with a training contract
Duties:
- Act as a support function to the qualified lawyers on a day to day basis
- You will be familiar with and have experience in drafting leases
- Do the initial paperwork on licences, loan documentation
- Draft reports on current files and make reports on progress and requirements
- Prepare legal packs and open files
- A knowledge of secured lending would be beneficial
- Send out letters of engagement
- Act as a focal point to send off for searches
- Reply to initial enquiries and requirements before exchange of contracts
- Handle exchanges and prepare relevant invoices
- Prepare completion and other relevant financial statements
- Assist on the completion of Stamp Duty Land Tax returns
- Prepare transfers and work with the fee earners on file management
- Investigating and reporting on the property, including carrying out appropriate property searches, raising appropriate enquiries of the seller and considering their responses
Candidate Requirements:
- Minimum 1 years of relevant property conveyancing experience
- Able to work on your own caseload without ongoing help
- Relevant experience as above, specifically in property conveyancing
- Able to work from East London near a Central Line underground station
