Job Description

TPF Recruitment is proud to represent a rapidly growing firm of Accountants and business advisors based in Reading currently looking to hire an Accounts & Outsourcing Manager. Their diverse clientele ranges from large corporations to smaller ownermanaged businesses while their modern approach and dynamic collaborative working environment set them apart from traditional accountancy firms.

The specialist tax team includes experienced Corporate Personal Tax and Payroll specialists from diverse backgrounds including Big 4 and top 10 firms alongside a talented pool of trainees. The team is motivated happy and has recently achieved a high Great Place to Work score. They pride themselves on delivering big firm experience in a tailored and clientfocused manner. The growing Corporate Tax team offers core compliance services and specialist advice such as R&D claims capital allowances reviews corporate reorganizations and group tax planning providing significant opportunities for professional development and career progression.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a portfolio of corporate clients serving as the key point of contact and leading their corporation tax compliance cycle.
  • Assist with the preparation and review of corporation tax computations and returns ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
  • Support the Corporation Tax Manager/Senior Manager in managing client engagements maintaining client communication and meeting deadlines for submissions and payments (including QIPs).
  • Research technical points identify potential risks and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Collaborate with other team members to manage crossteam workflow gather necessary information for tax compliance and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Respond to HMRC enquiries on behalf of clients including preparing documentation and explanations as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for tax savings and efficiencies such as tax credits reliefs and incentives and support their implementation.
  • Stay up to date on changes in tax legislation and regulations assess their impact on clients and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of tax compliance policies procedures and controls to ensure effective tax risk management for clients and the firm.
  • Mentor and develop trainees.
  • Assist with ad hoc tax projects such as restructuring initiatives mergers and acquisitions by providing tax analysis and support to senior team members.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients understand their business needs and provide highquality tax services to support their objectives.
  • Manage workflow efficiently monitor the status of every job and take personal responsibility and accountability for your work.
  • Be commercially minded work within budgets manage WIP for your jobs and take responsibility for invoicing.


Requirements


  • Newly qualified Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA) and/or Chartered Accountant (ICAEW ACCA ICAS CA) or equivalent international qualification.
  • Proven ability and experience in preparing corporation tax computations and returns for single entities and groups of companies.
  • Experience in the following areas is desirable:
    • Tax Compliance for Groups of Companies
    • Research & Development Tax Relief Claims (SMEs & RDEC for Large Companies)
    • Preparation of Corporate Interest Restriction Returns
    • Preparation of Capital Allowances Reports
  • Developed numerical literacy and communication skills.
  • Ability to build internal and external relationships and deliver quality client service.
  • Experience using tax software packages ideally Digita (training will be provided).

For this fantastic Semi Senior opportunity in Wokingham, you may be an AAT studying, and/or perhaps studying ACCA or looking to build further on your experience following qualifying AAT, with a background in accountancy practice, with at least 2 - 4 years or more experience within practice, preparing accounts, tax and other responsibilities for a mixed client base of sole traders, partnerships and limited companies. You will be looking for a challenging, long term career move, at Accounts Semi Senior level, within a genuinely growing and expanding firm of chartered accountants, offering progression and career development.
