Full-Stack or Back-End Engineer - NestJS, Node.JS, Typescript

We're HackCapital, a FinTech startup building an impact-investment marketplace. We re on a mission to democratize access to venture capital & accelerate investment into Food, Climate and Health globally.

We re looking for a dynamic Back-End Engineer with solid knowledge in Node.JS and Typescript.

This role is central to our growth, full of responsibility and ownership with plenty of room for you to grow. You ll get the opportunity to join a small, growing, tight-knit company that values proactiveness, impact and collaboration. As the ideal candidate, you ll have outstanding tech-skills, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, have a keen interest in FinTech, the Climate, Health sectors and concrete experience building scalable tech products. Previous leadership experience in a startup / scale-up is a big plus.

About the job

On a daily basis, you will

• Define with us and build the back-architecture of our investment platform
• Work with our Product Owner to specify new features and improve the products
• Develop those new features with a focus on quality/readability in mind, write unit tests/integration tests and documentation if necessary
• Push and monitor your new features into production

Requirements

Required Technical Skills

• 3 years of experience as a backend developer
• Experience with the frameworks NestJS or AdonisJS
• Strong knowledge working with/creating microservices
• Good understanding of relational databases and planning architecture for new features
• Have knowledge in CI/CD to automate builds and deployments
• Able to architect complete software systems leveraging existing and novel technology.
• Code Quality practices (experience in using testing frameworks), constructive code reviews

Nice to have

• Experience in FinTech products is a big advantage
• Experience with RDBMS (such as Postgres/MySQL)
• Experience with Vuejs 3
• Familiarity with monorepos architecture

• Comfortable in dealing with change and complexity
• Self-confidence, enthusiasm and the ability to challenge proposed solutions
