IT Operations Manager (f/m/d) - Advanced Hosting

Your Tasks:

Together with your team, you are responsible for the stable and high-performance operation of our shared and managed hosting Linux customer platforms as well as their further technological development.

• You will assume technical responsibility for the operational processes and, together with your team, will take the lead in preparing, planning and implementing maintenance, updates and general changes to the productive environment.
• You live and establish an active incident and problem management, use root cause analysis and engineering methods to make our services and processes even more robust and smarter.
• You support capacity management of platforms, trigger the need and setup of new resources and support the department with forecasts and demand analysis.
• You know how our customers* and the systems are doing, define SLI/SLO metrics and are responsible for KPI reporting. You actively drive data-driven operations forward.
• You are actively involved in day-to-day operations as well as in projects.
• You are a competent contact person for all other specialist departments. With your focus on the quality of our services, you will play a key role in supporting the further development of our platforms and infrastructures.

We Appreciate:

The basis of your success is a degree in computer science or a comparable qualification as well as desirably at least three years of professional experience, ideally in the areas of IT operations or software development.

• You have a very good technical understanding of server and system administration under Linux in critical HA infrastructures and are familiar with modern cloud, container and virtualization technologies.
• Automation and continuous improvement is part of your DNA. You feel comfortable in a DevOPS environment with a high demand for quality.
• Ideally, you are familiar with terms such as Runbook Automation, GitOps, Infrastructure as Code and know automation tools such as Ansible and Puppet. In addition, you have already gained initial experience with ITIL management practices.
• You are characterized by strong communication skills through service orientation, commitment and enjoy working with people and technology.
• A good command of written and spoken English rounds off your profile.
