Backend Engineer (Node.js) in Green-Tech start-up

At Green Fusion, we develop software for remote monitoring and optimization of renewable energy systems for buildings. We are looking for a talented backend developer to push our product to the next level by powering our energy management software. At this company, by enabling the transfer and storage of data, you will directly enable the green energy revolution!

Tasks

• Design and build backend features to power our energy management software and machine-learning optimization
• Create well structured and documented backend endpoints for the frontend. (REST and SocketIO)
• Suggest and implement database schema changes for new projects

Requirements

Requirements:

• Most importantly, a great mentality. The desire to collaborate and create a friendly and effective workplace, as well as being self motivated and eager to learn new things.
• Experience with backend development with node.js (or another similar javascript framework)
• Knowledge and experience building REST APIs in frontend projects
• Experience with relational databases and SQL

Nice to have:

• Experience using socket.io in frontend projects
• Experience with unit and integration testing
• Data modelling experience
