Project Manager

Job Purpose

Caterpillar Finance of Transition and Project Management CoE is the PMO team within Global Digital Finance Transformation function. This is a team of seasoned Program/Project management professionals operating with a global mindset and executing strategic programs across the breadth and depth of Global Finance Service Division (GFSD) leveraging skills & experience in Ideation, Strategy development, Project Management, Change Management, Technology implementation, Process Improvement. As part of the team, your main objective will be to drive strategic programs and outcomes working closely with leaders (sponsors) across different functions / geographies in leading and implementing business imperatives of varying size and complexity; by collaborating with teams across GFSD locations in enabling business goals and playing different/multiple roles of PMO, Program/Project lead, Change Agent, etc. with a consulting and trusted business advisor mindset.

Create value for the organization by leading complex programs/projects independently as Program/Project managers driving GFSD internal transformation efforts/strategic initiatives.

Own delivering the outcomes and enable achievement of strategic goals of the organization.

Developing and enhancing relationships with our key stakeholders, understand the business and navigate within the organization to drive projects/programs effectively.

Observing, listening, and asking better questions to understand their needs and expectations.

Bringing diverse and thought-provoking perspectives and point of view to explore solutions working with the team. Exploring trends and new, innovative ideas that will positively impact Transformation COE, in addition to the existing practices/processes followed within Caterpillar

Perform rapid assessment of current projects within the portfolio and provide insights for improvement, accelerating the outcomes and managing those effectively.

Being prepared to speak credibly and confidently about process & technology and ability to identify opportunities to solve business issues.

Contribute towards building the capability for the function to efficiently & effectively manage the programs and coach/share colleagues who are managing programs/projects

Direct and delegate tasks effectively to PMO analysts.

Facilitate project planning as needed.

Utilize professional project management tools and techniques to manage reporting, tracking charts, checklists, and project scheduling software. Lead all project plan updates in weekly control meetings with activity owners.

Manage change and take active leadership in timely decision making.

Ensure standardization in project/change management practices adopted and align them to organization goals.

Host governance meetings and drive discussions/decisions working along with the Stakeholders.

Develop and manage knowledge repository to leverage lessons learnt across projects.

Required qualifications

Post-Graduate in management and Graduate in any domain related to management, economics, or technology.

8+ Years of relevant consulting/execution experience with at least 5+ Years of project /change management experience in Big 4, Global Management Consultancy or Blue-chip organization.

Experience a management of senior stakeholder relationships at CXO, Partner or Functional Head level.

Experience managing medium to large transformation projects as TMO, Project Manager or Work-stream lead for large transformations Understanding of standard project methodologies - project design & initiation, applying standard taxonomy to current state to arrive at future state, implementation, and project transition/close.

Shift Timings would be -01:00PM -10PM IST

Certification in Project Management - PRINCE II, PMP, Agile

Professional training in project management software

Professional training on techniques for leading and facilitating meetings
