Initial areas of responsibility will include reverse engineering of diesel fuel injectors for remanufacturing process. Product family responsibilities will change periodically as new business develops. Knowledge and experience with lab and test equipment design including control systems is a bonus.
Essential Functions:
- Product and equipment design and development with an initial focus on diesel fuel injection
- Reverse engineering of existing OE components to determine product specifications
- CAD model and drawing creation
- Perform development and project cost analysis
- Coordinate pilot builds for new product launches
- Resolve technical issues with respect to product performance
- Lead new product design projects up through hand-off to manufacturing
- Consult with Sales and Customers to determine product requirements
- Design and development specialized test equipment as needed
- Design data acquisition methods to determine product testing requirements
- Document investigations with engineering reports

- 3 years experience in design field (Automotive Experience) Required(Prefer Diesel Fuel Injectors or Similar) Reverse Engineering a PLUS
- Experience with CAD system such as Pro Engineer Creo or SolidWorks
- Proficient with MS Office
- Good organizational skills
- Attention to details
- Knowledge of Lab View or other control software a plus
