Job Description

Air Compressor Sales Engineer

Summary: Responsible for selling complex technological products or services to businesses. The Sales Engineer will serve customers by identifying their needs engineering adaptations of products equipment and service.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Actively drives sales and business development.
  • Formulates strategies to grow sales revenue market share and customer satisfaction in assigned territory.
  • Serves as a liaison and advocate between the customer and the organization.
  • Prepares and delivers technical presentations explaining products or services to customers and prospective customers.
  • Confers with customers and engineers to assess equipment needs and to determine system requirements.
  • Collaborates with sales teams to understand customer requirements and provide sales support.
  • Secures and renews orders and arranges delivery.
  • Plans and modifies products to meet customer needs.
  • Helps clients solve problems with installed equipment.
  • Recommends improved materials or machinery to customers and shows how changes will lower costs or increase production.
  • Helps in researching and developing new products.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills including ability to listen attentively and to communicate information clearly and effectively.
  • Interpersonal savvy; able to collaborate and work closely with other departments and leadership.

  • Strong presentation skills
  • Outstanding timemanagement skills with proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while meeting deadlines.

  • Effective sales competency
  • Technical aptitude with air compression and rotating equipment preferred.
  • Knowledge of technical products rotating equipment air compression products and their applications
  • Knowledge of industrial distribution models or multi step distribution preferred
  • Advocates a safetyfirst attitude in all aspects of position.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 software; SAP experience preferred.

Education: bachelor s degree (BA) from fouryear college or university or three to five years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Travel: This position does not typically require travel outside the local area or overnight. Travel up to 75% of the time may be required to accounts meetings company related functions.

Job Type: Fulltime





Routine maintenance and repair of hydraulic and pneumatic equipment (Industrial air compressors).
