Senior Protection and Gender Officer

• Ensure the mainstreaming of protection in to all activities in the Za’atari WASH, Cash and Economic justice Programming, in coordination with the relevant teams.
• Prepare for and organize community consultations and community-based orientation sessions, in coordination with Oxfam team(s) and other partners.
• Join community engagement officers and advocacy team in monitoring protection issues affecting refugees in the Camp.
• Make referrals of all identified and reported cases through the established UNHCR and Oxfam pathways.
• Work closely with the Program manager and the WASH, Cash and EJ teams to support the Za’atari Camp team in strategizing, planning for and ensure appropriate integration and mainstreaming through all programme activities. This can include the creation of new activities, such as child care services.
• Explore and develop tools, methodologies and guidelines to improve information sharing on vital information and services available for refugees in Zaatari camp.
• Facilitate the dissemination of protection and communication information as necessary (leaflets, brochures, posters etc.).
• Coordinate and organize regular internal mapping of services available in the area of intervention.
• Attend Protection and SGBV working groups in Za’atari Camp.
