Job Description

• This position is responsible for the molten metal pouring operations and subsequent melting operations to remove castings from the trees.

General Functions

• Loading preheat furnaces and operating shell knock off equipment such as shot blast and cut-off saw.

• Operate the gate removal equipment, various blasting machines, mass finishing and solution anneal furnaces.

• Perform work while standing 95% of the time.

• This is not an exhaustive list of duties or functions and may not necessarily comprise all of the "essential functions" for purposes of the ADA

Expected Areas of Competence (i.e., KSAs)

• Must be able to read precision measuring equipment

• Must have basic math skills

• Must be able to accurately read and interpret blueprints

• Must be able to accurately record data using both computer and written skills

• Must be capable of performing duties with a high degree of teamwork

• Must be able to read, interpret, and maintain ZWIs, SOPs, ZESs, and QCPs.

Education Requirements

• High School diploma or GED and a minimum of six months experience in foundry operations including handling and processing molten metal and performing basis support functions.

Skill Requirements

• Basic math skills, capable of working in a high temperature environment
