Assistant Fuels Manager

The Assistant Fuels OM&R Manager (AFM) is responsible for meeting the Fuels Systems operation, maintenance and repair work requirements according to the performance work statement to include scheduling of personnel, work supervision and quality control. The AFM shall provide management support for the whole work scope of Base Fuel Operations. The Fuels Manager (FM)/Assistant Fuels Manager (AFM) team plans, monitors and controls all project activities through the use of functional area-specific Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensures Quality and Safety requirements are met or exceeded. Services provided shall include inspections, preventive maintenance, Fuel Systems in order to provide full operational capability within 7 days’ notice of an exercise at the base. If an exercise/operation is extended, the FM/AFM shall stand up operations to support the Fuels Department. The AFM shall function as the FM in his/her absence and works with a Fuel Systems Technician to provide safe, efficient, accurate and environmentally responsible services and products.
