About the team
Youll join Stripes Optimized Checkout Suite product team which gives businesses a set of prebuilt checkout surfaces that are optimized for conversion as they expand to new geographies customer segments and business models. OCS helps businesses build checkout flows that match their stage and scale spending minimal time on payment integration so they can focus on their customers and product. Our core value is abstracting complexity so users can rely on Stripe to be the expert on all things checkout: conversionoptimized UI dynamic presentation of payment methods localization and currency conversion to name a few.
What youll do
You might call yourself a UX writer content strategist information architect or another title. In this role youll shape the strategic direction of highimpact projects in addition to crafting elegant interface copy that distills complex concepts into clear actionable language. Content designers at Stripe are empowered to dive deeply into a problem space pairing closely with product designers as equal partners in the product development process. Day to day youll work with small iterative crossfunctional teams while enjoying the camaraderie and support of a centralized Content Design team.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with designers researchers product managers risk strategists and engineers to deliver endtoend experiences that guide users to build highquality integrations
- Lead content discovery and planning ensuring the right activities are prioritized to uncover users content needs
- Deliver recommendations and solutions to a diverse set of partners and stakeholders including audit findings concept models content requirements etc.
- Shape (and scribe) interaction flows navigation schemes and other microcopy
- Facilitate content critiques and workshops advise partners on content and create tools and templates to enable others to create their own great content
- Create maintain and implement style guides and shared nomenclature across Stripe

Minimum requirements
- 5 years of experience working as a content designer UX writer or content strategist
- Embraces the highly technical nature of Stripe and our products and translates complex concepts into clear intuitive language
- Comfortable designing content across surfaces and channels including web email and product interfaces
- Thinks in systems and is comfortable driving largescale information architecture projects
- Writes using best practices for inclusivity and accessibility to reach users worldwide
Preferred qualifications
- Experience designing content for complex financial products and/or highly regulated industries
